Comment: I have several sides of my family buried in various locations around the cemetery. The most well known would be Henry Edward Ainsworth. One of the founders of the Empire Cinema Ewood, who are celebrating their 100 aniversary in 2010. I have just had his headstone re-erected and the grave tidied up

Comment: I am the year 5 teacher from Ashleigh Primary School and I would just like to thank you for including a link to our page about the cemetery. The children were really pleased to hear how impressed you were with their work. I have been able demonstrate to them that they can make a positive contribution to the local community.

Comment: I would just like to say THANK YOU to the Darwen Aldridge Community Academy students and Whitehall Scouts and Cubs who turn up yesterday and helped at the cemetery planting bulbs and helping with the Adopt a War grave scheme. Can't wait to see the cemetery burst into colour once the bulbs begin to appear that you planted. It was so heart warming to see young people working hard alongside us more mature volunteers. Young people today don't always get the recognition they deserve. You should be very proud of yourselves and your help is always needed and appreciated

Comment: I would encourage anyone to go on one of the history walks around the cemetery, they are excellent and well researched. Take a brolly though just in case!

Comment: Having contacted the War Commission and resulting visit - SOME graves have been cleaned but not 2 of our 3 - namely DONE and PHEASEY. Messaged Diane via FB but no response. Totally disheartened - what does it take to get them cleaned especially since War Comm. categorically stat we've not to clean headstones?
